Locking - followers. -A device for supporting cards or the like in vertical cardindex systems of the kind which retains itself in position in the drawer is formed of a strip a of springy material adapted to be flexed to exert a lateral pressure on the sides of the drawer, its ends being provided with pads b of rubber, felt, wood or the like. In a modification, the support is formed of spring wire bent into a series of waves and provided with rearwardly-bent feet to rest on the bottom of the drawer, the number and height of the waves varying according to the width of the drawer and the height of the cards.
