163,523. Connold, R. M. March 5, 1920. Tracing-appliances.-A copy-book for use in teaching writing, drawing, &c., has unruled transparent leaves, and the back of the cover is formed or provided with an extended flap a, over which is placed a sleeve c, or a folded sheet, of paper, card, &c. bearing the copies. The flap and copy are folded within the book under the lower leaf, on which a tracing is made. The copy may then be withdrawn, and the pupil then proceed to execute it without tracing. When a folded copy is used instead of the sleeve c, it may be placed round the flap a and all the leaves except the upper one. The side of the flap which is uppermost in use may be ruled with lines or squares, so that the book can be used without the copies for dictation, arithmetic, &c.
