L i n e a r - dimension gauges. - An indicatordial gauging-member b<1> having a movable contact b<2>, as described in Specification 130,460 for example, is provided with a detachable beam a having a fixed or adjustable anvil a<2> of large area, so that the combined arrangement may be used as a calliper gauge. The beam may be adjustable w i t h respect to a lug b projecting from the back of the dial casing by means of a slot in a flange a<4> of the beam and a bolt b*. The beam may be shaped so that its lower part is in the central plane of the dial, or the anvil may bedisplaced laterally. The beam may be provided with an apertured lug by which the gauge may be mounted on a stand.
