Foot-arch supports.-Relates to foot-arch supports of the type in which the usual arched baseplate A, which is made of resilient steel or other suitable material, is combined with a narrow resilient arched piece or strip C of similar material which is formed with a raised or humped part C<2> near its forward end, and consists in rendering the strip resilient by slotting it towards its forward or humped end, as shown at d<2>, Fig. 2. The resilient strip C is attached to the baseplate A by means of a headed stud b on which it may be turned for lateral adjustment, and a pin c<3> engages one of a number of holes a to retain the strip C in the desired position. A slot c<2> may also be provided in the strip C to allow longitudinal adjustment. The strip C may be longer than the base-plate A if desired, so that its forward end may project beyond the forward end of the base plate A, and may alone be arched, the base-plate A being made flat.
