Chimney-tops.-A wind-directed chimney-top comprises a centrally pivoted disc A bent upwardly in the manner shown and fitted on the upwardly bent portion with a vane e which, as shown in Fig. 1, is at an angle of 45‹ with the line of bend. The shaft c carrying the disc is mounted in a bearing carried in a frame q above the disc and thus clear of soot &c. The base B is twice the diameter of the top to which it is fixed. Proportions of other parts are specified.
