Abstract
161,683. Simmons, B. R. Jan. 14, 1920. Watch bracelets; brooches; scarf - pins; mounting and setting gems and the like.-A spring clip adapted to carry a watch, coin, gem, or other article, and which may be mounted on a wristlet, scarf pin, safety pin to form a brooch, &c., is constructed from wire bent into U- formation, Fig. 2, or into a flattened coil, Fig. 9, and, further bent across the plane of the U or coil so that the two sides d, e incline inwardly from the central point. The inner coils may also be bent or indented to form a recess j for engaging an article. The clip may be mounted on a back plate f, Fig. 4, having ribs g, which are turned up to engage the coils, and lugs h, for engaging a wristlet.
