Abstract

Cleaning internally, non-rotary appliances for. -In an internal scraper for tubes, two parallel flat bars 3 resiliently attached to a flat holder 1 have out-turned extensions carrying arcuate cutting-edges 5 disposed angularly to the axis of the tube and oppositely directed at opposite ends of the bars, so that the scraper cuts both ways. The cutter-bars may be freely mounted on bolts 7 with helical springs 8 or plate springs 9 as shown in Fig. 1, or may be spaced from the holder by distance-pieces, the whole being riveted. The cutting-edges may be integral with the cutter-bars as shown at the left-hand end of Fig. 1, or detachably secured as shown at the right-hand end; they may be plain or have serrations 11.
