Cloths stretched over frames. - A mop frame comprises two sections 2, 3, formed by U-shaped flat metal strips pivotally mounted on end portions of a bail 4, and a presser latch 13 fulcrumed on a transverse bar 10 fixed to the section 3 and having fingers 11 adapted to engage in notches 12 in the section 2 to prevent closing of the sections. A coiled spring 14 encircling an end of the bail 4 has one end 15 engaged in a side of the section 2, the other end 16 bearing upon the underside of the presser latch. The frame is braced by a bridge-piece comprising a strip 17 with hooked ends straddling the pivoted ends of the sections, the bridge-piece being rigidly fixed to the section 3 by the bar 10 engaging in notches in the upwardly bent portion 18. Apertures are formed in the parts 18, 19, and also in lugs 20 formed up from the strip 17 to provide bearings for the ends of the bail 4. A hook 22 is adapted to engage the bail to facilitate drying the mop when the frame is reversed with one end 3<a> resting on the floor. To permit an intimate folding, the section 3 is of less width than the section 2. Specifications 16160/15 and 115,167 are referred to.
