Abstract

With attachments for special purposes.-Footwear is protected against dirt and wet by a panlike receptacle 1 which allows the heel to rise but holds the toe portion by a band 10. The ankle is encircled by a tape 7 attached to a U- shaped spring 2 secured at 4, 5 to the pan 1, which is of hollow metal. The toe retaining band 10 is passed through slots 8, 9 in the pan.
