Coating.-Hollow and tubular articles such as casings for pneumatic tyre valves are rendered rust-proof by subjecting them to the action of zinc or other metallic dust under the influence of heat. The articles are placed with the metallic dust in a. rotating barrel which is heated to a point below the fusing temperature of the metal.
