Direct liquid-pressure apparatus. - In oil-storage systems in which the oil is stored over, and displaced by water, the pipe D which supplies water to the oil tank A from an elevated tank G is surrounded by heat insulation arranged for example in an outer tube E, in order to prevent freezing of the water by cold oil. A filling indicator pipe H, whch normally contains water and is adapted to allow an escape of oil at its upper end to indicate when the oil has reached its lower limit of level, is also provided with heat insulation. The tank A is filled through a pipe C and a valve I, which is so connected to a valve J in the pipe H that they are closed simultaneously after the filling has been completed.
