Abstract

Stationary batch-mixers with rotary stirrers.- Relates to mixing-machines, such as are used for mixing concrete, of the type consisting of a pair of vertical shafts d, e disposed one within the other and rotated in opposite directions by bevelgearing, each shaft carrying lateral arms from which depend blades or ploughs which travel concentrically around the floor of the mixing-pan, one set of blades r being disposed outside of the other set p. The invention consists in making the blades of such a size that both sets pass or sweep over approximately equal areas of the floor of the mixing-pan. The blades are inclined to their supporting arms o, q and are adjustable horizontally, vertically, and angularly.
