Abstract

157,544. Bassham, W. W. Oct. 16, 1919. Printing - surfaces. - A mount for printing-surfaces of the kind comprising a wooden filling cast in a metal cover is constructed so that the metal cover A is cast with feet E F which give a rigid support while the cover A is planed after being cast. To mould the cover A, the wooden filling B is supported in the casting box on pins D carried directly by a steel core C or through an intermediate member E of the thickness of the bottom part A' of the cover A. If desired the underside of the filling B may be left uncovered, the member E not being used in this case.
