Abstract

156,568. Schipke, A. Jan. 8, 1920, [Convention date]. Tyre attachments to rims.-The outer cover b of a pneumatic tyre has angular beaded edges l, m adapted to be hooked together as shown in Fig. 2, flaps e, f being arranged adjacent the edges to receive wire cores h, i and engage rim-grooves o, as shown in Fig. 1. One or both of the wires h, i may be expansible and contractible, in which case a helical wire sleeve m is fitted around the wire to facilitate the adjustments. The invention is stated to be applicable to tyres which are cemented to the wheel rim.
