Abstract

Driving machines. -A machine tool having an electromagnetic chuck 19 has also an electromagnet 14 operating against a spring 12 which automatically stops the machine or the feed if the chuck 14 becomes inoperative, by raising the control lever 10 through a sliding rod 11 having a hooked end 23. The electro-magnet 14 is preferably coupled in series with the chuck 19, but may be in parallel.
