Abstract
The control circuit contains a detector (10) for detecting a predetermined point in the cycle of the AC voltage (L1, L3) for the converter. The corresponding angular value of the AC voltage is calculated from the output signal of the detector in a synthesizer (12) and is passed, as an address signal in digital form, to a memory (14) in whose memory locations the optimum triggering sequence and triggering time of the valves of the converter are stored for each angular value. The memory output is connected to a triggering circuit (24) which converts the output signals of the memory into triggering signals for the valves of the converter. <IMAGE>
