Abstract

The device contains a temperature sensor (6), which is arranged in the upper layer of a dielectric fluid, a correction device and a changeover circuit (9). The latter contains threshold-value elements (10, 11, 12, 13) for a small overload, a threshold-value element (14) for a large overload, and a load-disconnection circuit (17). The correction device contains a load-current sensor (7) and a function- forming device (8). The function-forming device (8) emits a signal which corresponds to the excess temperature of the winding of the apparatus above the temperature of the dielectric fluid and, together with the output signal of the temperature sensor (6), is applied to the threshold-value elements (10,11.12,13;14) of the changeover circuit (9). The load-disconnection circuit (17) is electrically connected to the threshold-value elements (10,11,12;13) for a small overload, for selective emission of the output-control signals. Such a device for overload protection of electrical induction apparatuses allows the change in the winding temperature which is caused by the load currents and the change in the temperature of the dielectric fluid as a result of the influence of various types of external influences to be detected in a complex manner, in order to overcome the possibility of failures of the apparatuses. <IMAGE>
