Abstract

The electrical connecting device is suitable for connecting two flat cables (100), which each have a plurality of conductors, to one another at an angle. For this purpose, each connecting terminal (3), which is arranged in a housing part (1), has a first and a second conductor-retaining part (4, 5). The conductor-retaining part (4, 5) has two arms (6) which are spaced apart and have opposite edges defining a conductor-retaining slot, and has pointed free ends (8) for penetrating through the cable insulation of the cables (100). A second and a third housing part (11, 12) which can be mounted on the first housing part (1) have a plurality of continuous recesses (13) for holding the free ends of the arms (6) of the conductor-retaining parts (4 and 5, respectively) of the respective connecting terminal (3). The free ends of the arms (6) are constructed with shoulders (14) which can engage with shoulders (15) of the housing and lock the housing parts (1 and 11, and 1 and 12, respectively) to one another. Depending on the angle at which the conductor-retaining parts (4 and 5) are arranged with respect to one another, the flat cables (100) can be connected to one another at a corresponding angle. <IMAGE>
