Water - cranes. - In moulded pipes, hollow pillars &c., for example, the upright pillar of a watercrane, Fig. 1, composed mainly of ferro-concrete and tegral part thereof, the core which remains fixed in the moulded product as an integral part thereof, the core A comprises a series of lengths of reinforced cement tubing spigoted together at a, a; the core and the cast-iron terminal fittings or collars B being tightly braced by longitudinal tierods D on to which screw nuts d engaging with flanges on the fittings B. Wires E are wound round the outside of the rods D to constitute the transverse reinforcement of the pillar and the whole is placed in a mould into which cement F is poured.
