Abstract

An automatic test device for multipressure valves of differing design is specified, in which pneumatic pressures are applied to the valves which are to be tested in an automatic fashion with respect to their magnitude and duration. These pressures are measured using sensors (9) and compared with prescribed pressures in an error-evaluating device (5). Depending on the output signals of the error-evaluating device (5) and on time conditions prescribed by a timer (4) the pneumatic pressures are varied in accordance with the prescribed test conditions in order to carry out further test steps. The prescribed test conditions are stored in memories (3) the contents of which can be varied by manual data input (1). Given the occurrence of specific errors, test operation is halted and the type of error is printed out on a printer (8). The sensors (9) are automatically recalibrated at predetermined intervals. <IMAGE>
