Abstract

In a thermoplastic composition essentially comprising high-molecular-weight polyalkylene terephthalates, the crystallisation and crystallisation rate are significantly increased by admixing a small proportion by weight of a sulphonic acid ester and homogenising the mixture in the melt. The composition is an excellent starting material for the production of dimensionally stable mouldings by injection moulding. It is of course also possible, depending on the desired properties and the intended use of the mouldings, to admix any known additives and reinforcing agents to the injection-moulding composition.
