1537234 Gas turbine plant-utilizing exhaust gases BABCOCK & WILCOX Ltd 26 Nov 1975 [26 Nov 1974] 51177/74 Heading FIG [Also in Division F4] A thermal power-plant combustion unit includes a gas turbine unit 2 arranged to discharge combustion gases produced in the unit 2 directly through a duct to a fluidized bed furnace unit 8. The combustion gases have sufficient oxygen content to sustain combustion of coal particles in the bed. A sinuous tube bank 10 in the bed and a further sinuous tube bank 12 above the bed provide for the generation of steam.
