1536481 Thermal battery SOC PROENGIN SARL and SAFT-SOC DES ACCUMULATEURS FIXES ET DE TRACTION 15 March 1976 [14 March 1975] 10198/76 Heading H1B A thermal battery comprising a stack of series connected cells, each cell comprising an anode electrode 2 and a cathode electrode 1 separated by a solid electrolyte 3 wherein adjacent pairs of cells are in intimate contact with each other. The battery further comprises a pyrotechnic composition 10 which when activated by percussion hammer 11 heats the battery and melts the electrolyte.
