Abstract

1536121 Picture frames GCW WAITE & CO Ltd 16 July 1976 [12 Nov 1975] 46673/75 Headings A4V and A4X A picture frame including a backing member 30 and a transparent covering 31, e.g. of glass or perspex (Trade Mark) or a plastics film, between which is the picture 32, is provided with clips each of which comprises a plate 10 having at one end a flange 14 straddling the edge of the frame and at the other end a hook 18 extending towards the flange and engaging in a groove (33) in the backing member 30. The clip has a key-hole aperture 20 for engaging a headed support member, e.g. a screw, and beads 22 for engaging the backing member 30, and it may be made of spring steel or chromium plated mild steel. In a second embodiment, Fig.5 (not shown), the key-hole aperture is in a central part of the plate 10 which is set-back from the rest of the plate. The frame may be polygonal, circular or oval.
