Abstract

1535880 Tractor couplings JEAN WAL TERSCHEID GmbH 22 Sept 1976 [24 Sept 1975] 39243/76 Heading A1P The upper link of a tractor power lift mechanism comprises two telescopic parts 3, 21 biased into an extended position by spring 1. The inner tube 21 has a plurality of circumferential grooves 19 into which locking members 17 are pressed radially in order to lock the two parts in position. A sleeve 6 is spring biased to move axially on the outer part 3 and has an inclined surface 12 and a flat surface 14 arranged to engage with an inclined surface 16 and flat surface 13 on the locking member to guide and hold it in the locking position. The locking members are of cylindrical form and are released by axial movement of the sleeve 6 to allow them to move radially outwardly. The sleeve is moved by pulling on actuator 9.
