Abstract

1535497 Flocculating latex effluent SOCFIN CO BERHAD 7 Oct 1977 34952/77 Headings C3E and C3L Rubber is recovered from a latex effluent from a latex concentration plant by adding to the latex effluent a flocculating agent comprising a cationic polymeric compound containing one or more polyoxyethylene groups in a liquid medium to effect flocculation of the latex and separating flocculated rubber from the liquid phase. Specified cationic polymers are poly - [oxyethylene - (dimethylimino)ethylene- (dimethylimino)ethylene dichloride], poly- [hydroxyethyl - (dimethyliminio)ethylene- (dimethyliminio)methylene dichloride] and a copolymer of epichlorohydrin and a diamine.
