Abstract

1535073 Variable-diameter pulley VYZKUMNY A VYVOJOVY USTAV ZAVODU VSEOBECNEHO STROJIRENSTVI 7 July 1976 [21 July 1975] 28304/76 Heading F2D A variable-diameter pulley comprises segments 15 around which a belt passes, the segments 15 being moved radially by the engagement of racks 12 with a pinion 1. The segments 15 are between a pair of discs 3, 7 and each segment has a portion 16 engaging a radial slot 8 or 9 in disc 7. The pinion 1 has disc 3 fixed for rotation with it. To adjust the pulley diameter a nut 17 is slackened and disc 7 is rotated relative to disc 3. The slot 9 extends through disc 7 and a scale 10 co-operates with a segment portion 16 to aid adjustment to a desired diameter.
