Abstract

1534614 Drying polychloroprene sheets BAYER AG 1 Dec 1976 [12 Oct 1976] 50078/76 Heading F4G Polychloroprene sheet is dried by blowing hot air on to both faces of the sheet. The sheet is conveyed through a housing by a porous or non-porous belt above and below which are arranged air nozzles, the housing being divided into two sections (heating and cooling) in series. Each section contains recirculating fans and has air inlets and outlets, the inlets in the heating section being connected to burners and the outlets to exhaust fans. Instead of being cooled by air, the sheets may be contact-cooled by metal surfaces.
