Abstract

153,175. Harter, E. April 23, 1919, [Convention date]. Addition to 142,071. Gills for tubes.-The radiator described in the parent Specification is provided with a closed casing d, and the gills on the cooling tubes a are sloped in reverse directions on either side of the centre of the radiator, as shown at a<1>, a<2>, so as to cause a discharge of the air in two currents towards adjustable outlets d<1>, d<2> in the bottom of the casing. The outlets may be fitted with adjustable louvres controlled by the driver. In cold weather these louvres may be closed and the warm air led through one or more pipes' r<1> fitted with dampers r<2> and filter screens r<3> into the body of the vehicle to heat it.
