Abstract
The animal accommodation is used for keeping small animals, e.g. hamsters. It comprises a floor trough (1) and a removable, transparent attachment (4,5; 6,7), which is either inserted into the floor trough (Fig. 1) or is placed on the side wall (2) thereof (Fig. 2). The attachment has, on a frame (4; 6) consisting of, for example, wire meshing or glass, a solid-walled, smooth cover (5; 7), which has a passage-hole (21) which is spaced apart from the cover edge on all sides. The passage-hole, which is kept open, permits direct access to the animals within. The latter, however, cannot escape; even if they are able to climb up to the cover, they cannot reach the passage-hole, due to the smooth cover surface. <IMAGE>
