Abstract

1529375 Stencil printing J A BLACK 9 Feb 1976 04937/76 Heading B6C In a stencil screen press an adjustable squeegee assembly 30 has a stop arrangement which limits its downward movement on to the screen carried on a reciprocable carriage (40), Fig. 4 (not shown). A tapered cam block 240 engages a roller 252, and an adjustable stop 258 on an arm 250 which also supports roll 252 engages the under surface of squeegee support arm 152 so that the squeegee assembly 30 may be lowered slowly as roller 252 rolls down block 240. The assembly 30 may be moved across the screen by a handle 179 or by a fluid cylinder, and is supported in brackets 164 which are themselves carried on vertically reciprocable posts 184 adjacent further vertically reciprocable posts supporting the flow coater which moves horizontally with the assembly 30. The screen carriage carries a screen frame which is lockable in position by sliding pins 51 into slot 50 in a plate 49 and which is vertically adjustable using graduated assemblies 56 The screen frame is reciprocated by rack and pinion drive which may be manually disconnected. Sheets are fed in on vacuum belts and vacuum side registration means are provided.
