Abstract
1529332 Automatic control BRITISH AIRCRAFT CORP Ltd 14 May 1976 [16 May 1975] 21031/75 Heading G3N [Also in Division F3] A wire-guided missile 1 is provided with pitch and yaw accelerometer 7, 8 and associated amplifiers 9, 10 which provide signals over a guide-wire 2 to amplifier 11, 12 for servos 13, 14 providing 'feel' to a joystick 4 by which an operator controls the flight-path of the missile. It is stated that a first integration of the acceleration signals would enable the operator to sense missile velocity and a second integration position with respect to the line-of-sight to the target.
