1529251 9,10-Dihydroergopeptine derivatives SANDOZ Ltd 2 Jan 1976 [6 Jan 1975] 00051/76 Heading C2C Novel compounds of the Formula I wherein R 1 is hydrogen, C 2-8 alkyl or C 7-9 phenyl-alkyl and R 2 is a branched C 3-4 alkyl or benzyl, and acid addition salts thereof may be prepared by reacting a reactive functional derivative of an acid II. with a compound III in acid addition salt form. Pharmaceutical compositions of the compound I or a salt thereof with the usual excipients show hypertonic and serotonin antagonistic activity and may be used to treat orthostatic disorders. The composition may be administered for example as a solution or tablet.
