Abstract

1529188 Continuous contact electro-plating C D EIDSCHUN 5 Sept 1977 36957/77 Heading C7B Curvilinear contacts 51 Fig. 8 e.g. on a bandolier (50) Fig. 9 (not shown), are contact plated e.g. with gold by moving the contact points 56 as cathode along an axis parallel to that of an anode roller 15 having an absorbent surface 24 in tangential contact therewith to trace a helical path on the absorbent roller surface while plating. As shown Fig. 1, continuous contact plater 10 has a pair of opposed belts 12 for grasping and driving the contact points through a pair of opposed jaws 14 to be plated by contact describing the helical trace on the anode roller. A metering roller 22 adjustably determines of concentration of plating solution in the absorbant surface on the roller which contacts the plating solution in a tray 16 beneath.
