Abstract

1528878 Cleaning conveyer belts VEREINIGTE OSTERREICHISCHE EISEN UND STAHLWERKE ALPINE MONTAN AG 24 Nov 1976 [24 Nov 1975] 49038/76 Heading B8A The surface 24 of the return run 1<SP>1</SP> of a conveyer belt is cleaned by compressed air issuing from a nozzle 19 which extends along substantially the whole length of a container G having a compressed air inlet and at one end thereof. The container is formed by plate 8 and angle member 9 secured together by bolts 10 and nuts 11. The width of the slot is controlled by adjustment of screws 20. The direction of the air blast makes an angle α of 40 to 50 degrees with the surface of the belt.
