1528232 Mass flow-rate measurement; density measurement VSES NI I PROEKTNOKONSTRUKT INST KOMPLEX AVTOMAT NEFTY I GAZOVOI PROMYSHLENNOSTI VNIIKANEFTEGAZ 26 Jan 1976 02826/76 Heading G1G In a method of measuring mass flow-rate of a gas-liquid fluid, the end mass 5 of a hollow cantilever 2 in a housing 1 is maintained in vibration of constant amplitude by pick-up 20 and feedback 11 electromagnets whilst fluid flows through the cantilever 2, and the power required to maintain the constant amplitude vibration, the frequency of the vibration and the fluid pressure are all measured. In order to determine individual mass flow in a three-phase fluid the relative volumetric gas content is determined using a radio-active source 59 and sensor 60. The average density and mass flow-rate are read out as frequencies from respective voltage-to-frequency converters 51, 40. Individual mass flow-rates are obtained by mathematical manipulation using derived formulae (not shown).
