Abstract

1527775 Valves ACTROL INDUSTRIES PTY Ltd 24 Nov 1975 48243/75 Heading F2V A pressure control valve has a seat 17 between an inlet 11 and outlet 12, closable by a valve member 32 which forms part of a valve assembly extending through the seat and including a piston 23 and a guided head portion 31 disposed on either side of the valve member, there being a loading spring 24 tending to unseat the valve member. The assembly is pressure balanced with regard to inlet pressure and its effective area subject to outlet pressure is equal to the seat opening. The valve is for use in storage hot water units where inlet pressure varies. Operating pressure is set by a spring adjusting screw 25. When the pressure falls to the set value the valve will open on demand. If, however, the supply pressure is greater than that set, the valve effects a pressure reduction. An inlet filter 33 may be fitted.
