Abstract

1527342 Photo-electric switch STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 22 Feb 1977 7362/77 Heading G1A [Also in Division H1] To avoid spurious switching due to contact bounce, a micro-switch, in which a manuallyoperable push-button 2 snaps a bowed strip-like spring member 4 to reversed curvature by acting on a point between its centre and one end, has an extension 13 on the other end of spring 4 which is moved by the snap action to act as a shutter between a light-emitting diode 10 and a phototransistor 11 whose response controls a Schmitt trigger circuit mounted on a thick film substrate 12 and which provides the micro-switch output via cable 8.
