Abstract

In the warp-tension controller in the form of a PI controller with an operational amplifier (4) which controls the warp-beam drive and the feedback circuit of which contains an integrating capacitor (8) in parallel with a resistor (6), immediately after the loom has been switched off one pole of the integrating capacitor (8) is separated from the output of the amplifier (4) and is changed over to the output (10) of a voltage store. The output voltage of the voltage store is kept constant at a value which the output voltage of the amplifier (4) had immediately before the loom was switched off. As soon as the loom is switched off, the output voltage of the amplifier (4) can therefore fluctuate unrestrictedly, without this having an effect on the voltage across the integrating capacitor (8). Normal operation is consequently possible immediately after the loom has been switched on again. <IMAGE>
