1526566 Drawing compass HELIX INTERNATIONAL Ltd 17 June 1977 [29 June 1976 19 Nov 1976] 26952/76 and 48257/76 Heading B6P Pencil-carrying arm 5 has an externallythreaded barrel 6 for a clamping nut, with a thread 7 with stop means at both ends and an internally-threaded resilient plastics material clamping nut 9<SP>1</SP> which is forced over the stop means during assembly of the compass. Preferably the clamping nut is passed on to the barrel from the shank of the arm, the barrel and arm are a metal die cast unit and the stop means are unthreaded portions 11a, 10a of the barrel ends.
