Abstract

1,163,249. Rivet extractor. GRASSLANDS PTY. Ltd. 5 June, 1968 [20 Feb., 1968], No. 26869/68. Heading B4C. A rivet extractor comprising a generally C- shaped body 4 having one end portion formed as an anvil 6, a tubular clamping 9 screw extending through a threaded hole in the other end portion of the body able to be advanced axially towards the anvil, a pressure screw 11 and a punch element 12 adapted to be projected beyond the end of the clamping screw by rotation of the pressure screw, the anvil having a rivet discharge passage 7. In a modification, a removable anvil piece (19, Fig. 3) may be fitted into the discharge passage 7 and the clamping screw, pressure screw and punch shown in Fig. 1 may be replaced by the clamping and pressure screw assembly described in Application No. 26868/68. The latter assembly may also be fitted in a body portion (B, Fig. 2) formed integrally with the body portion (A, Fig. 2).
