Abstract
1525582 Substation circuits THORN-ERICSSON TELECOMMUNICATIONS (MFG) Ltd 4 Feb 1976 [19 Feb 1975] 7015/75 Addition to 1404570 Heading H4K A circuit for extracting power from a line 20, 22 comprises transistors 24, 28 connected in series between the wires of the line, and voltage clamping means connected across the line 20, 22 to clamp the line voltage, the output of the circuit being taken between the wire 32 and one of the two line wires at 36 or 34 in dependence on the D.C. line polarity. The circuit may be used to power a D.C.-D.C. converter (Fig. 3, not shown) cf also the Parent Specification. The arrangement of 4 diodes 82, 80 may be replaced by a clamping circuit comprising a pair of back to back Zener diodes.
