Abstract

1525336 Sampling gas LEEDS & NORTH RUP ITALIANA SpA 3 Feb 1976 [25 Feb 1975] 04228/76 Heading BIT [Also in Division Gl] A filter for a sampling device which analyses a dust-containing gas, comprises duct 9 having nozzle 10 for attachment to the probe (not shown) of the device for withdrawing a sample of gas (e.g. flue gas of boilers or cement furnaces), a nozzle 11 for attachment to discharge duct 12, and nozzle 13 for attachment to the suction side of the aspirator (not shown) of the device, a filter sleeve 15 coaxially located in duct 9 and inlet 19 for the introduction of air in a direction towards duct 12. In use, the air introduced through inlet 19 sucks most of the gas withdrawn by the probe along the filter sleeve, only a minor portion of the withdrawn gas passing through the filter sleeve to the aspirator and an analysing instrument connected thereto.
