1524321 Castors COLGRYP CASTOR & PRESSINGS CO Ltd 24 March 1977 [23 Jan 1976] 02627/76 Heading A4U [Also in Division F2] A castor wheel assembly for trolleys, trucks, mobile furniture includes a wheel 1 mounted on a wheel mounting 2, 5, and a brake comprising at least one pedal (as shown, two pedals 6, 7) pivoted to the wheel mounting 2, 5 and adapted to be rocked by a user's foot between a released position (pedal 6) and an 'on' position (pedal 7), raised portions in the form of indentations 10 in opposite flanges 11 of the pedal 6 (7) bearing against opposite side faces of the wheel tyre 4 when the pedal is in the 'on' position to frictionally brake the wheel. As shown, the wheel mounting comprises non- rotatable arms 5 mounted on a spindle 2 on opposite sides of the wheel 1 with the pedals 6, 7 pivotally mounted on studs 8 at opposite ends of arms 5.
