1524191 Vehicle wheel rims DUNLOP Ltd 29 Oct 1975 [9 Nov 1974] 48592/74 Addition to 1429300 Heading B7C A vehicle wheel rim comprises a well cover 87, e.g. in the form of a split ring or band, e.g. of mild or spring steel, the ends of which are secured together in as described in parent Specification, the cover defining with the walls of the well two circumferential grooves for accommodating the toes 68, 69 of tyre beads 75, 76 so as to prevent or restrict axially inward movement of the beads from their seats. The tyre may have a radial cord carcass ply, and an aspect ratio of 30-75% and a tread wider than the distance between the rim flanges, or it may have a conventional aspect ratio, e.g. 80% and a tread narrower than axial distance between the rim flanges.
