Abstract
1523891 Mowers TURNER ENG CO (COUGHTON) Ltd 19 Nov 1975 [14 Jan 1975] 1644/75 Heading A1F A cutting head 10 (Fig. 4) is carried by pivoted arms 12, 14, the inner arm 14 being connected to an assembly 16 pivoted on a king pin 18 carried by a bracket 20 fast with a torque tube 40 (Fig. 2), a cross-arm 42 being splined to the rear end of the tube 40 so that the weight of the cutting head 10 causes the cross-arm 42 to bear against the underside of the tractor. The cross-arm 42 is connected by a pin-and-slot 48 to a bracket 46 fixed to the rear axle. The rear end of the tube 40 carries a ball-joint projecting into a bracket 44 on the rear axle. The bracket 20 is connected by an optional link to a lug 22 on the tractor, and to a cross tube 36 pivoted to lugs on a counterweight 30 formed by a power pack and hydraulic reservoir. The counterweight 30 is pivoted at 32 to lugs 34 on the tractor. Lugs 22, 34 and axle brackets 44, 46 are permanently connected to the tractor.
