Abstract

1523873 Wall panel construction in portable buildings PORTAKABIN Ltd 7 Aug 1975 [7 May 1974] 19935/74 Heading E1A A portable building having a floor, side walls and a roof defining an integral self supporting box like tubular body has formed as a panel having an inner skin 13 and a spaced outer skin formed from metal sheets 11 with transversely extending corrugations, the space between the skins being filled with plastics 18 expanded in situ. The sheets may be temporarily held together by spring clips 20 over inturned flanges 19 while adhesive between the flanges and between the skins and the frames 17 sets. In the roof the outer skin may be of steel or aluminium and the inner skin of hardboard. In the floor the corrugated sheets of the lower outer skin may be welded end to end and the upper skin be of plywood. The roof may be of hogback construction.
