Abstract

1523807 Parachutes AERAZUR CONSTRUCTIONS AERONAUTIQUES 29 June 1976 [10 July 1975] 27017/76 Heading B7G An extractor parachute 1 has its shroud lines 2 folded in zig-zag manner on a plate 3 which is ejected from the parachute pack 8 by means of a spring 5, and an intermediate line 6 connects the extractor parachute to the main parachute canopy 7 in such a manner that the traction applied to the canopy 7 by the parachute 1 is limited. This limitation may either be provided by a rope (11), Fig. 3 (not shown), which connects the line 6 to the apex of the canopy 7 and breaks at a predetermined tension, or the line 6 may be connected to a central shroud line (9), Fig. 4 (not shown). In the latter case the line 6 is attached to the canopy apex by means of a strap (10) which is of sufficient length to be slack when the main parachute is fully deployed. The plate may or may not be permanently connected to the extractor 'parachute.
