Abstract

1522625 Setting code information on vehicles BURO PATENT AG 25 July 1975 [27 July 1974] 31242/75 Heading B7N Apparatus for setting coded information for a vehicle 10 running on a track 16 by positioning magnetic code members 18a-18c along horizontally extending guides 17a-17c, comprises adjacent the track, three banks 21a-21c of solenoid operated pins 22, one from each bank being selected in accordance with the coded information to be set and moved into the path of a code member 18 to position the member, previously set to zero, in the required position when the apparatus and vehicle code assembly move into position directly opposite each other. At this position, detected by sensor 24 responding to magnet 23 on the vehicle, either the pins are retracted allowing the vehicle to continue in the same direction, or the vehicle is stopped and leaves the code setting apparatus in the opposite direction or the vehicle is stopped and moved away from the apparatus, in a direction transverse to its approach, to an adjacent track.
