1522288 Watches PACIFIC WESTERN SYSTEMS Inc 25 Feb 1977 [27 Feb 1976] 08134/77 Heading G3T [Also in Division H1] A timepiece 11 such as an electronic watch has at least one pusher-operated switch wherein the return force on the pusher is provided by an arcuate spring 35, Fig. 4, which extends around more than 180 degrees and is thereby self-retaining in the watch case 12, the spring being deflected substantially in its plane of curvature when the pusher is depressed. As shown the spring lies in a groove 16 within the case 12 and encircles watch module 15. The spring 35 has bifurcated ends which engage grooves 37 in two pushers 23b, c; the pushers are respectively sealed to the case by an O-ring 26 and a conical shoulder 39 (to engage a corresponding seat). Alternatively the pusher may have a flange engaged by the spring Fig. 6 (not shown), or the spring ends may be engaged in transverse bores in the pushers as in Fig. 1. The pushers are conductive and depression of a pusher thus connects a corresponding contact 18 of the module to the arcuate spring and to the case if the latter is conductive.
